About UVRD

Founded in 2014, Unique Vision Research and Development organization is a is a voluntary, humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit making organization registered in Ministry of National Planning, that provides technical assistance and advice in the areas of health ,livelihoods, nutrition, food security, natural resource management, social development, conflict resolution and disaster management. Unique vision has extensive experience in these areas and has provided services to development agents including: International development agencies, governments, bilateral and multi-lateral agencies, non-governmental organizations, research bodies, regional authorities and community based organizations and the private sector. Based in Hargeisa, Somaliland, Unique Vision operates in East Africa and the Horn and occasionally beyond.

Distribution of Range Cubes

Providing valuable training and managing all distribution requirements in Togdheer, Sool, Awdal and Saraar Regions

Unconditional Cash Transfer

With the assistance FAO we provided each household with unconditional cash transfers for six months to cover immediate household food needs alongside two animal supplementary feed blocks.

Food and Nutrition Security

Providing assistance and training to the local people to enable them to prepare for the challenges in Food Security.

Cash Plus Livestock Treatment

This involves key steps for safeguarding, adaptation, learning and support to participant households. It provides cash (mobile money and cash), supplemental training and mentorship to participating households to purchase livestock and establish an ideal herd composition that will help their livelihood goals.
